Old wood · Nothing useful wasted

Extreme
Sustainability.

Extreme sustainability is not a finish applied at the end. It begins with the material: rescue what already exists, respect the life it has lived and find a useful future for as much of it as possible.

The whole story

01

Rescue

Pallets, shelves, tables, garden furniture and fence boards arrive from neighbours, friends, skips and workshops. What looks unwanted is often simply waiting for someone to look deeper.

02

Reveal

Stamp marks, nail holes, worn edges and changes in tone are preserved as intentional details. They offer a small window into the journeys the timber made before reaching the workshop.

03

Use it all

The challenge is to find value in every board, block and offcut. Even shavings and chippings can begin another life — including as bedding for a neighbour’s animals.
